Final line-up notes · News
3 April 2012 · PPK
Well, the Mobilism line-up is complete now. We have one more item to announce: a device/network API panel featuring representatives from W3C, PhoneGap, and Blue Via to discuss how web developers will get access to phone functionality such as the address book and the camera, as well as access to payment systems that tie in with the mobile operator. These APIs are fairly new, and they represent a new kind of functionality that simply wasn't there before, so we're expecting a lively discussion. This panel will be moderated by Jeremy Keith.
Unfortunately, we also have a speaker cancellation: Ethan Marcotte has had to cancel his engagement for personal reasons. He will be sorely missed, although we think the rest of the line-up will allow everybody to almost, but not quite, forget about Ethan's absence.
With these two changes our programme is complete; and please note there have been some slight changes on day 2.
Tickets are still available; and frankly, if your job is to incorporate mobile into the web you can't afford to miss this conference. In addition, we'll feature workshops by Remy Sharp about building mobile web apps, and by Lyza Gardner and Jason Grigsby on taking your desktop web skills to mobile from a content and interaction design point of view.
See you in Amsterdam in May.
